A dish of Spanish origin, derived its name from the Spanish word “caldero” which means pot.
This savoury dish is prepared with one’s choice of beef, chicken or goat meat stewed in tomato sauce and selected spices.
1 kilo meat, cut up*3-4 cups water
1 pack McCormick Caldereta Mix, 50g
2 medium potatoes, quartered
1 medium red bell pepper, cubed½ cup garbanzos (chick peas), boiled and peeled
8-10 pcs green olives (optional)
1. Boil meat until tender.
2. Stir in McCormick Caldereta Mix
3. Add in potatoes and cook over medium heat until done
4. Add other ingredients and simmer until sauce thickens
